Keep the Flame is a narrative survival strategy game inspired by Frostpunk and Reigns. The world has frozen over in the aftermath of a nuclear winter. The one of last remnants of humanity survive around a single machine - the Hearth. Your task is simple yet cruel: keep the flame alive at any cost

Gameplay

The game is played through a deck of cards. Each card presents a situation, a moral dilemma, or a new law. The goal is to survive 10 years(240 cards)

• Make your choice: Swipe left or right (or use buttons) to decide the fate of your people
• Manage resources: Every decision affects the city’s core resources: Heat, People, Hope, and Materials
• Survive the passage of time: 2 cards = 1 month, 24 cards = 1 year. Resources decay at the end of each month
• Legacy system: When a leader falls, a new one is chosen. Each has their own archetype, personality, and unique strengths or weaknesses
• Accumulated consequences: Laws signed by previous rulers remain in effect. Your mistakes (and successes) will accumulate over time

Atmosphere 

Experience a dark dieselpunk aesthetic filled with snow, rust, hissing steam, and the constant pressure of the encroaching cold

About This Build 

This is a prototype / MVP and my very first game, developed  solo.  I used AI generated images for the cards, icons and background. If the project finds success, I plan to replace them with original hand-drawn art. The game fully supports both English and Russian. There are currently 7 rules and 40 cards representing different situations in the game.
